A Donegal County Councillor is warning that the turf ban may, in time, result in protests on the streets of Dublin.
Rural coalition TDs have received assurances that proposals for a ban on the sale of turf won’t go ahead as planned.
They voted with the government in the Dail last night, which saw a Sinn Fein motion to scrap the ban defeated.
