Works to begin soon on €9m sewerage upgrade for Rosses Point

Works are to begin in the coming months on a €9m sewerage scheme upgrade for the Rosses Point area.

Contracts have been signed by irish Water to carry out the development with Coffey Construction Ltd. hired to carry out the works which are expected to take around 18 months to complete.

Independent Sligo Councillor, Marie Casserly has raised issues of water quality in the area at Council level over the years.

She says it will bring a range of improvements to the vibrant tourist area.
