St Vincent De Paul official says it’s a choice of Food or Fuel for many families



The North West Regional President of St Vincent De Paul says families across the counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal being forced to make tough decisions of between putting fuel in cars or food on the table for their families.

 

Rosa Glacken the regional President of SVD in the North West says there is a danger of families being mal-nourished as a result of the cost of living increasing.

The St Vincent De Paul official says personal transport in rural areas such as the North West is vital for many families for attending work and medical appointments.  She’s warned as a result there are already families cutting back of their food budgets.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM News Rosa Glacken says many families in the North West are under severe pressure at present.
