A canned food drive in various parts of Co. Sligo is taking place over the next week.
Today, the items can be brought to the Teeling Centre in Collooney until 2pm
Ballinacarrow community centre is operating from 12pm to 2pm Sunday.
There are also drives taking place in Cliffoney Community Centre on Saturday the 19th of March and Dromore West community centre on Sunday the 20th of March both from 12pm until 2pm
Dromore West community centre is also accepting canned food donations Monday to Friday between 10am and 1pm until the 20th of March.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy says canned food is specifically requested as it can be stored for long periods of time.
There is also a collection looking for a range of products such as hairbrushes, bandages, metal cups, torches, sanitary towels, nappies and more taking place today and Sunday from 3pm until 6pm at Molaise Gaels Club House, Grange.
