Donegal defeated in Killarney



A 48th minute goal from substitute David Clifford proved decisive as Donegal suffered their first defeat of this year’s Allianz National Football League on Sunday afternoon.

Short Michael Murphy, Michael Langan and Tony McClenaghan, Declan Bonner’s charges were second best to a strong Kerry team at wet and and windy Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney.

Seán Ó Shea was unplayable at times, helping himself to seven points for the victors, while Patrick McBrearty, Conor O’Donnell and Shane O’Donnell scored two points apiece for the Tír Chonaill men.

Donegal welcome Ulster rivals Tyrone to Ballybofey on Saturday next, February 26th at 7:30pm.
