Concern mounting over recent trolley figures in the North West.



The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called for urgent action on ‘out of control trolley figures’ as 87 patients are waiting on a hospital bed at Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospital’s this morning.

 

Nationally there are 603 patients are without a bed in Irish hospitals today.

 

 

This is the highest number of patients on trolleys since 4th February 2020.

 

There are almost identical numbers at the North West’s two main hospitals with 44 people waiting in Sligo and 43 in Letterkenny.
