A Donegal Councillor has called on the local authority to carry out a safety review of all boardwalks in the county.
Independent Councillor, Micheál Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig, says with the increased number of people out walking due to the pandemic and time off over the festive period, numerous issues have been brought to light.
He says the council have been quick to respond and fix any issues that have been highlighted by users.
However, Councillor Mac Giolla Easbuig says boardwalks play very important roles in their communities and is calling on the review in the interest of public safety.
