A man was arrested yesterday in Ballymote in connection with public order matters, according to the Gardaí.
The incident occurred just before 1pm on Wednesday around the Doo Church in Ballymote.
Gardaí say the man was in possession of ‘an article’.
he was subsequently arrested and is due to appear before Sligo District Court later this month.
