Warning of high spring tides at Strandhill

Sligo County Council is advising that access to the promenade at the seaside at Strandhill has been temporarily closed due to waves coming over the prom wall and localised flooding.

The public is asked to avoid the area.

Brian Flynn, senior executive engineer with Sligo County Council, has been telling OceanFm News that spring tides are a major factor in what’s happening at Strandhill.
