Melvin Gaels appoint ex-Fermanagh player Matthew Keenan as manager

Melvin Gaels have appointed former Fermanagh footballer Matthew Keenan new senior team manager.

The club made the announcement on Monday evening.

Keenan, a double senior club championship winning player with Enniskillen Gaels, was part of the Fermanagh team which took Armagh to a replay in the 2008 Ulster football final.

He’s taking over a team who preserved their senior club championship status last season following a relegation play-off victory against Allen Gaels in Drumkeerin.

Keenan has a background in Sports and Exercise Science, and has an Ulster Coaching and Management diploma from South West College in Enniskillen.
