Local publican fears people will cross border for nightlife



A local publican says the difference in restrictions between the Republic and Northern Ireland will result in those living locally travelling to NI to avail of the less severe hospitality restrictions.

It’s being claimed that people crossing the border to go clubbing is part of the reason the Northern Executive is closing nightclubs as a public health measure.

Venues have been ordered to shut from St Stephen’s Day.

Pubs and bars will remain open six people will be allowed share a table.
