41 people waiting for a bed and 25 Covid patients in the north west



There are 41 patients waiting for a bed and 25 receiving treatment for Covid-19 in the north west today.

Latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch show Letterkenny University Hospital is the most overcrowded nationally with 36 people waiting.

HSE statistics find there are also 21 Covid-19 patients receiving treatment in the hospital, with one in ICU, making it the sixth worst impacted hospital in the country today.

A further five patients are waiting for a bed in Sligo today along with four Covid patients and none in ICU.
