Gardaí in Sligo and Leitrim are advising members of the public not to attempt to remove fallen trees or approach fallen wires.
Motorists are asked to contact their local Garda Station or County Council if they come across any obstruction or other hazards on their journeys.
It’s reported that power lines are on the road at Conways Cross on the R284.
People are reminded to always assume the electricity network is live and stay clear of all wires.
