A Number of local outdoor adventure projects have received funding under the outdoor recreation infrastructure scheme.
Almost two million euro will be allocated to the local region.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys earlier announced €15.5 million in funding for 84 outdoor adventure projects across the Country.
Four projects will benefit in Leitrim to the sum of just under 889,000.
The Cavan/Leitrim Greenway which will receive €490,669.
O’Rourke’s Table Walking Trail Reopening and Enhancement Project is funded to the tune of €159,750.
The Tullaghan Access to the Sea project was successful in being allocated €198,000.
€50,000 has been provided for the Glenfarne Wood Project which will be used in the planning stage of the project.
In Donegal the Sliabh Liag Cliff Experience has been funded for t upgrade works on four sections of the existing mountain trail path. €269,682 has been made available for these improvements.
A number of Sligo projects have also been included in today’s announcement.
The Muckelty Hill Trail Project: will receive €118, 880.
€123,750 will be made available to the Hazelwood forest trail.
€50,000 will go to the Ballygawley Blueway, while 143,550 to the Ballygawley Lakeshore loop trails.
The Arigna Energy inclusive Discovery Pak at the Arigna mining experience will receive €500,000 euro.
