Dr Mike Ryan, the Sligo-born Executive Director of the World Health Organisation’s Health Emergencies Programme, says people are now mixing too much when it comes to fighting the Covid pandemic.
Countries across Europe have been hit with a new wave of Covid fuelled by the more transmissible Delta variant.
Dr Ryan says increased social contact is also part of the issue.
