Aodh Ruadh bow out of Donegal SFC

Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon were outplayed by opponents St Michael’s in Friday night’s Donegal senior football quarter-final at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey, on a final scoreline of 3-13 to 0-10.

An impressive St Michael’s side dominated most of the hour with Michael Langan and Martin McElhinney among the goalscorers.

The Dunfanaghy men led by 1-7 to 0-5 at the interval and pulled further ahead in the second 30 minutes thanks to those goals from McElhinney and Edward O’Reilly near the finish.

It was a night when very little went right for Ballyshannon – who now make their exit from the senior chamionship.

The remaining three quarter-finals, Kilcar v St Michael’s, St Naul’s v St Eunan’s and Gweedore v Naomh Conaill will also be broadcast live on Ocean FM.
