Flooding of Glenfarne River needs to be addressed



The flooding of Glenfarne River on the Manorhamilton side is an issue that needs to be addressed before we enter into the wintertime of the year.

Calls will be made on the local authority to engage with the OPW on the issue at next Monday’s meeting of Councillors of the Manorhamilton Municipal District.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Sean Mc Dermott says that when Lough MacNean Upper to Glenfarne was cleaned it eased any fears for houses in the region, and similar efforts now need to be put in place for houses on the Manorhamilton side:
