Hopes planning permission will be submitted soon for Tubbercurry Primary Care Centre

Planning permission is hoped to be submitted for the long awaited Primary Care Centre for Tubbercurry before the end of the year.

Initial hopes were that it would be underway by 2020 but the Covid-19 pandemic and the cyber attack on the HSE’s computer network meant required information was not available until now, delaying the project.

When built it will house two GP practices, four clinics, three public health nurse rooms and more.

Fine Gael Councillor, Dara Mulvey, asked for an update at the most recent Regional Health Forum West meeting.

He says a health centre is badly needed in Tubbercurry and the South Sligo area.
