Mohill beat gutsy Leitrim Gaels to set up Ballinamore final

Defending Leitrim senior football champions Mohill are back in the Connacht Gold county final for 2021 following Sunday’s hard-earned 1-15 to 1-9 win over a gallant Leitrim Gaels team who were contesting their first ever senior semi-final.

The result sets up a final meeting with Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s in two weeks time – following their comprehensive 3-15 to 0-9 win over St Mary’s on Saturday.

Mohill manager Liam Keenan spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s PJ Leddy after Sunday’s semi-final win.

Leitrim Gaels boss Paul Prior paid this tribute to his players for the effort on Sunday – and throughout the 2021 championship.
Elsewhere, the dates and times for next weekend’s Smith Monumentals intermediate football semi-finals have been confirmed.

Ballinaglera will face Kiltubrid on Sunday the 10th at 2:30pm.
Both semi-finals will be played in Carrick-on-Shannon and will be steamed live by Leitrim GAA.
