Aodh Ruadh no match for Eunan’s as round 4 draw is made

Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon suffered their first senior championship defeat of 2021 on Sunday as they were outplayed by St Eunan’s (pictured) in Letterkenny on a final scoreline of 2-14 to 0-7.

Barry Ward’s side are still in contention for a quarter-final place – but are likely to need a victory against Ardara in their final group game to be sure of a place in the knockout stages.

Earlier in the day, Gweedore beat Glenfin by 1-14 to 1-4, holders Naomh Conaill enjoyed a 1-20 to 0-6 success over Termon, while Killybegs held on for a 1-9 to 1-8 win against Milford in Fintra.

The draw for round four matches next weekend was made – with Kilcar v Gweedore the obvious stand-out fixture.

It is as follows:

Kilcar v Gweedore
Bundoran v St Eunan’s
Glenswilly v N Conaill
St Michael’s v Killybegs
Glenfin v Four Masters
Milford v St Naul’s
Ardara v Aodh Ruadh
MacCumhaill’s v Termon.

Donegal IFC quarter-final draw
Naomh Brid v Naomh Columba
Naomh Muire v Dungloe
Cloughaneely v Malin
Fanad Gaels v Buncrana.
