Sligo make winning start to new AIL season



Sligo made a winning start to their Energia All-Ireland Division 2B league campaign on Saturday with a 25-17 victory over Wanderers, at Hamilton Park in Strandhill.

Tries from Enda Gavin, Guiherme Coghetto & Philip Carter, alsong with two conversions and two penalties from Euan Brown edged the home side to victory.

Sligo’s new head coach Josh Reeves played previously for a season with Wanderers.

But here, his new team got the winning start they wanted in the AIL.
