A public meeting will take place later this evening in Ballymote to address the Pyrite crisis in Sligo.
The Sligo Pyrite Action Group will host tonight’s event which is scheduled to take place in the Loftus hall, Ballymote at 8.00pm.
Tonight’s meeting has been called to identify and support families with pyrite defects in their homes.
The group is encouraging those that may have defective blocks in their homes to attend.
The Group PRO is Sligo Drumcliff Councilor, Thomas Healy. He says it’s vital that Sligo is included in the Defective Blocks Scheme and that proper resources are provided by the local authority in Sligo to address the issue.
