Limerick GAA says no decision made yet on backroom team for 2022

Limerick GAA has moved to refute newspaper reports that Sligo sports psychologist and performance coach Caroline Currid will stay with the All-Ireland champions for the 2022 season.

She won widespread praise for her involvement with Limerick hurlers during their All-Ireland winning seasons of 2018, 2020 and 2021, having previously helped the Tyrone (2008) and Dublin (2011) footballers and Tipperary hurlers (2010) to All-Ireland’s too.

A native of Ballinfull near Grange in norht Sligo, she had been linked in recent days with a new role at Munster Rugby.

It was understood she would continue to work with Limerick for the 2022 season – but a statement issued by Limerick GAA on Wednesday clarified that no decision had been made yet on the composition of the senior hurling backroom team for next year.
