Latest 14 Day rate of Covid-19



The 14 day incidence rate of Covid-19 has increased in all but two local electoral areas in the region.

Information gathered between the 12th and 25th of August shows the national rate is now 532 with 25,337 new cases recorded over in this period.

As of Monday last, the rate in the South Donegal Local Electoral Area was 743, up from 581 a week ago.

Manorhamilton in Co. Leitrim has gone from a rate of 480 to 758 per 100,000 population.

The 14 day incidence rate of Covid-19 per 100,000 population is now 401 In Sligo/Drumcliffe, a decrease from 487.

Sligo/Strandhill has gone from a rate of 450 to 525, while Ballymote/Tubbercurry, which was the worst area in the region for two weeks in a row, has seen a noticeable drop going from 617 to 464.

A total of 585 new cases of the virus were recorded across all local Electoral Areas in this time with the majority, 197, documented in South Donegal.

The county rate for Leitrim is 446, Sligo has a rate of 586 while Donegal is on 1,154.
