21 patients are in Sligo University Hospital with Covid-19, it’s the highest number of patients with the virus in Irish hospitals for the 2nd day in a row.
It’s an increase of five on yesterday’s figure of 16.
3 people are in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.
According to the latest HSE figures, there are no ICU or general beds available in the hospital.
Tony Canavan is chief executive of the Saolta Group, which runs the hospitals in the west and north west, he says there are many reasons for the high figure in Sligo.
