Fishermen to protest in Dublin on Wednesday

Fishermen from Donegal will join their counterparts from all over the country when they participate in a major protest in Dublin on Wednesday.

Irish fishing vessels, both inshore and offshore, will assemble at the entrance to Dublin Port from early morning.

A rally will be held at in Guild Street Park at the Spencer Dock, beside The National Convention Centre where the Dail will be sitting.

Sean O’Donoghue from the Irish the Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation says the protest is being staged in response to a number of hammer blows that have been dealt recently to the industry.
