Latest update to HSE services in the region

The HSE has provided an update to it’s services across the region.

Progress is being made on bringing their computer systems back online but a number of services remain cancelled or with delays.

Most community health services such as disability, mental health, primary care and older people’s services are operating as normal in the region with patients being contacted directly if there are any changes.

Community Diagnostics in Donegal, such as X-ray, are operating as normal, however, there is a backlog to clear causing delays.

Audiology Services are now operating as normal in the CHO Area 1 which encompasses Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan.

Ophthalmic appointments are going ahead in Sligo and Donegal.

Appointments at the Sexual Health Clinic in Sligo are continuing as normal but new clients should expect delays.

Online Psychology group sessions remain cancelled in Donegal.

Those aged between 40 and 69 years of age are still able to register for a Covid-19 vaccine through the HSE’s website or phone number.

While it isn’t possible to be referred by your GP for a Covid test, people are encouraged to attend a testing centre with or without symptoms.
