Continuing concern about Covid rates in Donegal, Cavan and Roscommon

Donegal, Cavan and Roscommon are among a number of counties over which there is ongoing concern about the high incidence rate of the Covid-19 virus.

The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 people for the entire country is 129.7.

However, in Donegal, it’s 268.2, in Cavan it’s 147 and 137.9 in Roscommon.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said they’re keeping a close watch on these counties and what will happen in the week ahead as restrictions ease.
