Over 50% of people in the north west have stayed within 10km of their home



Over 50% of people in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal have stayed within 10km of their homes.

The latest figures come from the Central Statistics Office’s ‘Staying Local Indicator’ which are accurate upto the 26th of March.

54% of people in Co. Donegal stayed within 10km of their home, 50.9% in Leitrim and 54.7% in Sligo.

The national average is 64.2%.

Urban areas continue to have the most people staying local with 79.2% in Dublin and 63.1% in Limerick.
