A Donegal Councillor is calling on the new Greenways Unit which is being setup by the local authority to make sure there is balanced resources placed on the development of all greenway projects throughout the County.
Three new staff members are being recruited by Donegal County Council to work on Greenway projects and already there are concerns that the longer established projects many of which are situated in the north of the county may be allocated a greater share of the resources when the new unit is operational.
Donegal MD Councillor Barry Sweeney has tabled a motion on the issue for next week’s Municipal District meeting where he is expected to seek early engagement from the new unit:
