Potential of Lough Lumann not being utilised

A Sligo Councillor believes infrastructure should be created around Lough Lumann so that it can be a key piece of tourism for the area.

Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh says if it was a part of any other county, it would be promoted as a walking trail.

The Lough is technically along the 80km Sligo Way, situated between Unionwood and Slishwood by Sliabh Deane, but there is currently no signage or other infrastructure showcasing the area.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Walsh says we need to be promoting our amenities and highlights what he believes needs to be developed.
