UK accused of trying to “perverse nationalism” with Brexit trade deal

The Foreign Affairs Minister has accused the UK of “perverse nationalism” by trying to arrange a trade deal with the US before the European Union.

Simon Coveney says it would make more sense for the British government to work with the EU and Canada to reach a joint agreement.

He’s told The Times newspaper the world is “too divided” for the UK and EU to get into an “arm wrestle”.
