Online IFA meeting this evening to discuss bank closures



Concerns have been expressed in farming circles in relation to the closure of Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank branches in the North West.

To discuss the situation, the Connaught branch of the IFA are holding an online meeting this evening.

The meeting will be chaired by Pat Murphy, Connaught Regional Chairman, and will be addressed by Noreen Lacey, Head of Business Development IFAC, and Rosemary McDonagh, National Chairperson,  IFA Farm Business Committee.

Kathleen Henry is the Sligo Chairperson of the IFA.  She says the bank closures will have a negative impact on farmers and the Agri sector.
