The Department of Health has confirmed that an additional 6 people have died from Covid-19.
612 new cases have also been reported in the latest set of figures. The number of cases in the north west remains low, there were no new cases in Sligo, less than 5 in Leitrim, and 5 in Donegal.
7 people are being treated in Sligo University Hospital with 2 of those in the ICU unit.
There are 10 people being treated for Covid-19 in Letterkenny University Hospital and four of those remain In the ICU unit.
The roll out of the vaccination continues with the latest figures reporting that 271,594 people have received their first dose and 137, 935 have been administered their second dose.
