Sligo has the lowest rate of Covid-19 deaths per 100,000 of population in the Country.
17 deaths have been reported in Sligo due to Covid 19. This represents a death rate of 25.9 per 100,000 of population.
The figures compiled by the Department of Health for the Irish Independent show the county’s death rate per 100,000 people is 120.
It’s also emerged from the report that Cavan’s death toll is the highest with 92 having died from Covid-19 a rate of 120.8
That’s followed by Mayo, Monaghan, Kildare and Dublin.
There have been 132 Covid-19 related deaths in Donegal, with the rate of Death 82.9
Leitrim has recorded 13 deaths from Covid-19 or 40.6 deaths per 100,000 of population.
