The Department of Health have confirmed that there were 15 additional cases of Covid-19 in Donegal in their latest set of figures. 7 new cases were reported in Sligo and fewer than 5 in Leitrim.
The figures were among 575 new cases nationally
45 extra Covid-19 deaths were also confirmed yesterday.
10 people are currently being treated for Covid-19 in Sligo University Hospital with 2 in the ICU Unit.
11 People are in Letterkenny University Hospital with Covid-19 and there are 3 in the ICU Unit.
219,899 have now received their first dose of the Covid vaccination and 130,423 have received their second dose at this stage.
The Tánaiste has said it isn’t possible to give clarity to many sectors on when they’ll be able to re-open.
Wider Level 5 restrictions have been extended until April 5th and will be reviewed before Easter.
