Minister Ryan urged to act in North West’s best interest



A Sligo Councillor is calling on the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications Eamon Ryan to act on key projects which could breathe life into North West Region.

 

 

Sligo Councillor, Donal Gilroy was among a Group of five Councillors who met with Minister Ryan recently in relation to the National Planning Framework and Western Rail Corridor.

 

 

The Green party leader was informed during the meeting that without a balanced regional investment the North West will continue to underperform as a region.

 

 

 

During the meeting the Sligo Drumcliff Councillor expressed concern with the planning Guide lines for smaller regional centres such as Sligo

 

Donal Gilroy says the delegation of Councillors made clear their views on ‘the national development plan and it is now up to the Minister to act:
