Eurovision winner says events industry need realistic timeframe



A former Ireland winner of the Eurovision song contest’s urging the government to give a realistic timeframe for when the events industry can begin to return.

Charlie McGettigan says the Tanaiste’s suggestion of no indoor gatherings of more than 50 people until September doesn’t seem practical given our current state with the virus.

Leo Varadkar made the comments in a letter to an industry member, which was seen by the Business Post.
