Leitrim GAA fundraiser passes €65,000 mark

Leitrim GAA’s ’50 miles in January’ challenge has earned the county board in excess of €65,ooo to date – with more money still to come in.

The challenge invited supporters at home and abroad to walk, jog, run or solo fifty miles during the month of January.

In the absence of any club or county match activity, the fundraiser was identified as Leitrim GAA’s only meaningful source of income for the first half of 2021.

County board chairman Enda Stenson told Ocean FM Sport the response both locally and overseas has been superb.
