A woman was arrested in Sligo Town yesterday after a serious assault.
The victim was taken to Sligo University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
A woman in her early 20’s entered a business without a face covering at around 6.45pm Saturday evening and was advised about not wearing one.
She left and apparently returned a short time later and assaulted a female member of staff a number of times before fleeing on foot.
The woman, who presented voluntarily at Sligo Garda station, was arrested by Gardaí and detained at Ballymote Garda Station.
She has since been charged and will appear before Sligo District Court on Thursday.
