Calls are being made on Donegal County Council to progress the proposed Ballyshannon to Belleek Greenway.
Fine Gael Councillor, Barry Sweeney, raised a motion at yesterday’s Donegal Municipal District meeting calling on the local authority to get it to a shovel ready stage.
The proposed route will run from Ballyshannon Town Centre, out the Knather Road along Assaroe Lake and into to Belleek.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Sweeney says it’s a historic route with great potential.
