New Donegal LGFA Chairperson outlines 2021 priorities

Donegal referee Siobhán Coyle has been appointed as the new Chair of Donegal LGFA for 2021.

Coyle, who comes from Fanad, is one of the country’s best known LGFA intercounty referees.

She will continue of match officiating commitments alongside her new administrative role.

Coyle took charge of the 2019 TG4 All-Ireland junior football final between Fermanagh and Wicklow in December – and became the first female to referee an adult men’s championship final in Donegal, when she reffed the Intermediate Championship final between Aodh Ruadh and Cloughaneely last September.

One of her priorities will be to ensure she is a voice for all of Donegal’s clubs, not just the senior teams.

She’s been talking to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan’s about her latest appointment.
