Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault incident in the Drumrooske Estate area of Donegal Town yesterday afternoon at about 5pm.
A man in his 40s was discovered with injuries and was taken to Letterkenny Hospital for treatment.
Another man man, in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
