Kevin Johnston is new Tourlestrane senior manager



Kevin Johnston has been named as Tourlestrane’s new senior football manager for the 2021 season in Sligo.

He succeeds Eamonn O’Hara and Gerry McGowan, who have stepped down as joint managers after leading the south Sligo club to an historic five-in-a-row of senior championship titles in the Yeats County.

Johnston, who’s hails from the Eastern Harps club in Sligo, recently guided Ballintubber of Mayo to back-to-back senior club championship titles.

 

Based in Galway, he has been involved with the Salthill-Knocknacarra GAA club and has played a role in underage football development in the county.

He was previously a minor selector with Galway under manager Tommy Joyce, and also works as a coach education tutor with Connacht GAA.
