Groups in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are among a number taking part in a new project to provide training for people in rural areas.
It’s the Innovating Communities project that includes Leitrim Integrated Development Company, County Sligo LEADER Partnership Company and Donegal Local Development.
The aim of the training programme is to make people more open to new ideas and ways of working.
It will do this in a number of ways, including by building capabilities to take advantage of future opportunities and by adopting new techniques.
John Feerick, chief executive officer of Sligo LEADER Partnership Company, has been telling Ocean FM News about the project, which is expected to get underway early in the New Year.
