CMO alarmed with increasing number of Covid cases



The Chief Medical Officer says the pattern of Covid-19 is still trending upwards, despite a drop in the number of daily cases.

264 new infections were recorded yesterday, along with two further deaths.

There were 24 additional cases in Donegal, less than 5 in Sligo and 0 in Leitrim

The estimated national 14-day incidence of the virus in a number of counties is however continuing to rise.
