Councillor told three community dental clinics in Donegal to reopen soon

Three dental clinics in County Donegal that are closed are expected to reopen soon.

Among them are Glenties, which is due to reopen in December.

The dental clinic in Stranorlar was due to be relocated to more suitable accommodation in the St. Joseph’s Complex in the town but these plans have been put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Details in relation to dental clinics in County Donegal were given at this week’s regional health forum west meeting in response to a question from Councillor Tom Conaghan.

At present, there are nine community dental practices open in Donegal. Among those in the south of the county are Killybegs, Donegal Town and Ballyshannon.

A further three are due to open in December or January.

Cllr Conaghan says its important that people have access to services.
