Leitrim hurlers broke new ground on Saturday by reaching the semi-finals of the Nicky Rackard Cup, following a 1-11 to 0-12 win against Longford at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

Leitrim now face Mayo in the semi-final.
Micky McCann’s Donegal will face Tyrone in the other semi after the Red Hand county’s hurlers beat Monaghan in Saturday’s other play-off.
