Border Communities against Brexit hold meeting with the Taoiseach

With increased speculation in relation to whether or not a Brexit deal can be hammered out between the EU and UK, the Border Communities against Brexit yesterday held a virtual meeting with the Taoiseach Michael Martin yesterday to discuss some of their concerns surrounding Brexit.

The meeting addressed a number of issues including the likelihood of a trade deal being reached, the situation surrounding Northern Ireland,  the shared Ireland funding initiative and the difficulties that some in the border corridor are experiencing when it comes to securing mortgages.

Coordinator for the Border Communities against Brexit Damien McGennity says the Taoiseach has given a commitment that the EU want talks to continue.
