Gardai in Sligo last night (Sunday) observed a vehicle driving erratically through Sligo Town.
When stopped the driver was tested for drugs and subsequently failed the roadside test for a number of substances.
The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and was brought to Ballymote Garda Station, for further test to be carried out.
The driver was found to have no insurance and his vehicle was seized.
